Tylenol Caps to Bear New Warning Labels

Tylenol is planning to introduce new bottles with special warning labels on the cap to help alert users to the possible dangers that overuse of the product can pose. Beginning in October, bottles of Extra Strength Tylenol will carry a red warning label on the cap alerting customers to the fact that Tylenol contains acetaminophen and instructing users to read the full directions for proper use.

This move comes after a number of lawsuits were filed against the makers of Tylenol and other pain relieving medications for health problems such as liver failure and death. In the United States each year, acetaminophen overdoses sends tens of thousands of individuals to emergency rooms across the country and result in hundreds of deaths, according to the FDA.

At the Law Offices of Vic Feazell, P.C., we are all too aware of the devastating consequences that lack of appropriate warning labels can have for injury victims in Austin and their families.
