Car Causes Damage to 18 New Cars in Austin Dealership
More than a dozen vehicles parked in a Hyundai auto dealership in Austin were damaged after an out of control car slammed into them early in the morning on Wednesday, March 13.
According to Officer Traver Stefan, 911 received a call around 1:38 a.m. about a car veering off the road from the Interstate 35 frontage road to slam into a light post outside South Point Hyundai. The car then plowed through a row of vehicles at the dealership, scattering glass shards and plastic chunks across the parking lot.
A total of 18 cars were damaged due to the incident. Out of the 18, nine were totally damaged, with one flipping over and landing onto another vehicle, destroying them both. Another vehicle nearly lost its doors after the light pole crashed into it, while some either have damaged roofs, battery acid running on them, or mangled front bumpers.
